Choose the Right Idaho County Office
For a county booking record or photograph, contact the Idaho County Sheriff’s Records Division. Records Clerk Mandee Mignerey receives written requests at tac@idahocounty.org or 208-983-1100 ext. 2. The sheriff’s office is at 320 West Main Street, Grangeville, ID 83530; the main phone is 208-983-1100 and fax is 208-983-1359. General county office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., except holidays.
The Idaho County Jail Division, led by Lieutenant Richard Knutson, uses the same street address and has a direct line at 208-983-1123. Dispatch operates around the clock at 208-983-1100 ext. 0. Call 911 for an emergency. Phone staff may route a question, but protected reports still require the proper written process.
- For a booking record, photo, current roster, or warrant route, start with the county arrest-record hub and then contact the sheriff or jail as directed.
- For a new booking, use Arrests Last 24 Hours; for several days or older material, use the Police Blotter and a records request.
- For release or transfer notices, use the county jail’s VINELink route. It tracks custody status and does not replace the court record.
- For a Grangeville incident report, contact Grangeville Police. Cottonwood Police or the city office routes Cottonwood reports. Kooskia contracts with the Idaho County Sheriff for law enforcement.
- For a court filing or disposition, contact Idaho County District Court. The prosecutor can route a filed case’s next court date but is not the booking-photo custodian.
- For a sentenced state prisoner or supervision record, use the Idaho Department of Correction resident/client search or its records portal.
- For federal prison or immigration custody, use the federal Bureau of Prisons or ICE locator rather than the county jail.
